Add-on Kit

One more bay. Everything the next stretch of wall needs.

The Add-on Kit extends a system you already have: one hangtrack, one standard and four shelves. It carries one standard rather than two because a new bay shares the standard at its edge with the bay already on the wall.

What's in the kit

• 1 × Hangtrack — mounts horizontally into the studs. Its length is the width of the new bay.
• 1 × Standard — an 85" vertical rail, shipped as two 42.5" halves. It forms the far edge of the new bay.
• 4 × Shelf — hooks into the standards and adjusts in height without tools.

Read this first

This is not a first bay. With a single standard it only works butted against an existing Desh– bay. If you are starting from bare wall, you want the Starter Kit instead.

Choosing your size

The hangtrack sets the bay width. A 24" hangtrack gives a 24" bay and takes 24" shelves; a 36" hangtrack gives a 36" bay and takes 36" shelves. Depth is the open choice — 8" for display, 12" for books, 16" for storage. Bays do not have to match each other; a 36" bay can sit happily beside a 24" one.

Specification

165 lb (75 kg) per bracket pair. Shelves in 16-gauge steel, brackets in 14-gauge, both powder-coated RAL 9003 matte white.

Installation

A drill and a level. The hangtrack goes up first, levelled against the one already on the wall. Everything after that is one person and no tools.

The kit costs about 10% less than buying the same parts separately.
